Derech Eretz? Not in the Anti-Religious, Anti-Jewish State

The latest from some brutes (one in particular) that wear Israeli police uniforms. (I have observed decent Israeli policemen.) Pounding, bloodying, and manhandling an autistic Charedi youth. Go ahead idol worshipers, try to defend this.

What's amazing about the video is how matter of fact the police go about their brutality here, even as the man screams. And his screams are heart wrenching and chilling. It's as if they have done this a thousand times before. Surely, they learned this in the army when pummeling Palestinians. Jews are supposed to have compassion. Do these people have compassion? Are they Jews?

They are Israelis now. That's what the society and the army trained them to be. That's the goal of Zionism. Be a tough guy. Harden your heart. Worship the gun and the uniform. This is Zionism.

The LORD will bring a nation from afar, from the ends of the earth, to swoop down upon you like an eagle—a nation whose language you will not understand, a ruthless nation with no respect for the old and no pity for the young. (Devarim 28:50)

  1. Assuming for now that you have the full context here, and these police ARE guilty as you say, and therefore should be put on trial....please name a police force, past or present, that never had members that were guilty of such abuses.

It's your usual Leftist-like argument from utopia, not from real-life societies. And your demonization of anyone who disagrees with you ("idol worshippers") is straight out of the Lenin playbook.

    1. The point of the post is to show what Charedim are going through in Israel. How you are reading all kinds of other stuff into it shows that your entire intellect operates from this bizarre neocon mindset where the word leftest is uttered every five seconds. Avi is neoconservative politics your religion? I have met a few people like you over the years, guys who are kind of Orthodox Jewish but mostly into politics and of course see themselves as conservative when really they are neocons. The enemy to you is not the yezter hara, not sin. it's liberals. The view is entirely secular. I know one other that also pretends to be a follower of Hirsch but is the kind that Rav Breuer criticized for misunderstanding Hirsch and really being just modern Orthodox. That's the danger for me in having this blog, I have to keep hearing from fake Hirschians.

  2. Please see my latest comment on your 6-Day war post.

Rav Hirsch was anti-Leftist as well: I distinctly remember an anti-socialist comment on his essay on Tu BiShvat; and an anti-Communist comment in the Chumash.

  3. Your post judged non-Chareidi Israelis in general as violent and overly militaristic based on one incident of gross police abuse. EVERY police force, present and past, has unfortunately had these incidents; yet you single out non-Chareidi Israelis as being the violent ones.

That is precisely the kind of double-standard argument used by Jew haters who want to destroy the Israeli government, and cause a Holocaust. And who might these people be? Radical Islamists, and.....Leftists. (Alt-Right as well, but they are a tiny group.)

It's bad enough if you do this in your own name; but you connect Rav Hirsch with this as well. And then you call me a fake Hirschian for protesting. So please, direct me to the real Hirscians who approve of your posts.

Please focus on this, and please respond to it specifically: who are the real Hirschians who agree with your posts?

    1. There are many incidents of police abuse of charedim. That should be your concern. Your concern should not be are we judging the Israeli police fairly because why are you identifying with non-religious people. To call yourself a Hirschian, you have to be Torah observant. Are you? If you are Torah observant, you need to identity with other TO Jews, not a secular police form. Zionism seeks to redirect jewish loyalty from God and Torah and Klal yisroel to a secular state. And it has succeeded in your case. Your loyalties are off. There are many examples of police abuse of Chareidim. I have witnessed it. And police abuse of Pals is rampant. Is it worse than say Egyptian police or American police and on which segment of society. I doubt it's worse than Egyptian police and American police can be horrible too. But that isn't the topic here. The topic is what is happening to frum Jews in israel.

    2. This language you use as you refer to Holocausts and Jew haters and double standards is really silly in my opinion. I don't even have patience for it. What is the double standard? Who is the Jew hater? You are just tossing around buzz words for effect.
